A toolbox that respects your time.
toolmate is a growing collection of online tools built around three rules: open instantly, work in your browser, and never ask for your email.
Why we built this
Most "free online tool" sites in 2026 are intentionally hostile. They bury the calculator under three ads, gate the result behind a sign-up, and ship 500 KB of JavaScript to do math your grade-school calculator handles. We got tired of it.
toolmate ships static HTML with a tiny bit of JavaScript per page. Nothing you type leaves your device. Every calculation runs locally. The whole site weighs less than one banner ad on a competitor's site.
What's in the toolbox
We launch one category at a time and fill it deliberately. Right now the focus is Gaming — sensitivity converters between Valorant, CS2, Apex, Overwatch and friends; eDPI and cm/360° calculators; mouse hardware analyzers. These are the tools we needed when we switched between competitive shooters and got tired of bookmarking five different sites for the same job.
After Gaming we'll add Kitchen (baking conversions), Home (paint and material calculators), Body (running pace, sleep cycles), Money (budgeting), and Studio (color and design helpers). Same rules: tool first, generous defaults, no nonsense.
How we make money
toolmate runs Google AdSense in non-intrusive places — typically below the tool body, never overlapping the calculator UI. Ads keep the toolbox free and let us spend time building rather than charging $9.99 for a Base64 encoder.
Ad placements never read what you typed. The ads are contextual to the page topic only.
Who builds this
toolmate is built by one person — a solo developer based in Korea building for an English-speaking audience. The code is open in spirit (we'll likely open-source it eventually), the tools are free, and the roadmap is shaped by what people actually email us about.
